Cricket stuck in the Wall how long until it dies?

I have a cricket either stuck in my ceiling or my wall and it chirps loudly and quickly 24/7 IT is driving me insane, how do i either kill this thing or how long do i have to put up with it until it dies?

   oh i feel your pain! it will probably die within the next 24 hours
